Hershey's Kisses New Flavor: Hot Cocoa!

This is gonna hurt (my waistline). Hershey's has announced that their first new 'seasonal' flavor will be the Hot Cocoa Kiss. Oh my. The flavor is described as, "delectable marshmallow flavored crème and classically delicious Hershey’s milk chocolate, creating the experience of drinking a delicious cup of hot cocoa." Guess I'll have to add my own whiskey.

"Diet" Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

This is just plain dumb.

Next March (2019), Hershey's is releasing what they're calling "diet" Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Do they have less sugar/fat/calories? Well, yeah. But that's because they're 40% smaller than regular cups. Smaller does not equal "healthy." Smaller equals "I can eat more."

Peanut Allergies Have Tripled To Almost Epidemic Proportions

Peanut butter is one of my favorite things. A great late-night snack for me is a spoonful of peanut butter washed down with a scotch. It's an amazing combination!

Peanut allergies are among the most common allergies in the world, and they're getting worse. Twenty years ago, one in 250 children were affected by peanut allergies. By ten years ago, it had jumped to one in 70.

It's so prevalent that kids often can't take peanut-based snacks to school. The cause of peanut allergies is still up for debate, but many experts are blaming society's obsession with cleanliness as a likely cause.
