Grand Rapids rolled past Moorhead 6-3 to claim the Class AA boys state hockey title last night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Earlier in the day Hermantown beat Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake 4-3 in overtime to earn the Class A championship.
The St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (21-7-2) saw their season come to an end today, losing in the semifinals to #1 Hermantown (28-1-1) 6-5 in overtime. Hermantown will face Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake (23-6-1) for the Class A Boys Hockey Championship tomorrow at Noon at the Xcel Energy Center.
