Cathedral Hockey Tops East Grand Forks

The Cathedral hockey team downed East Grand Forks 6-3 last Wednesday night to advance to the Class A State Tournament Semifinals. The Crusaders led 2-1 after 1 period and 4-3 after 2 periods.

Reagan Garden scored twice for the Crusaders.  Nate Warner, Jake Van Halbeck and Michael Spethmann each scored a goal for Cathedral.  Van Halbeck added an empty net goal too.

Cathedral improves to 21-6-2 and will play #1 seeded Hermantown at 1pm Friday.  Hear the game on WJON with the pregame at 12:50.
