New Minnesota Law – FREE Water Required at Ticketed Events
I think we have all been to a music festival or two, or even just a concert at various venues around the state. It's fun to listen to the music, or see the event, such as a rodeo, truck pull, monster trucks, or whatever the event is. And it's not always an option to drink some sort of adult beverage, or a soda. Plus, you probably need to hydrate and those other two options are not good in that area.
BUYING WATER
When you try and get some water at most of these events you wind up paying something like $40 (might be slightly less than that) for a 20 ounce bottle of water. It's crazy.
Now, Minnesota has made a law that any ticketed event that has more than 100 people in attendance has to provide free water for the attendees. FREE water!!!
WILL IT ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE
Of course, there are some disclaimers.
Ticketed events with at least 100 attendees will be required to provide access to free water and allow patrons to bring their own water bottles, except in cases where beverages are prohibited, if water is available outside the event space.
ACCESS TO FREE WATER
But, the good thing is that you will now have access to water without having to pay those crazy prices at the venue. Or - sometimes you might be able to bring in your own water bottle. Size restrictions will come into play as well. Plus, they will probably be checking to make sure it's "just" water in some cases. You know how people are, give them an inch and they will take a mile, or try anything to see what they can get away with. It's just the nature of people.
But this is a good thing. YAY water!
