The Marcus Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park has finally announced their plans to reopen post-COVID-19 closures this spring.

We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors once again! Our theatre features updated health and safety measures to help deliver a safe and comfortable experience.

Marcus Parkwood will be welcoming guests back on Friday, August 21st.

Their new safety measures follow a "STAR" acronym they created.

S - Social Distancing

T - Thorough cleaning and sanitizing

A - App/website ordering AKA minimal contact

R - Respect for all guests and associates

Masks are also required in the theaters unless eating and drinking. Marcus Parkwood is asking guests to stay home if they are sick or feeling ill. Be prepared to see plexiglass barriers set up, and hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility.

Tickets for movies can be purchased in advance here, and food and snack orders can be purchased in advance through their app.

I'm so excited to see a movie on the big screen again. I can't even remember the last time I caught a movie in a theater, I think it may have been Frozen 2 back in November. There have been a lot of great releases since then, and I'm hoping Marcus Parkwood will be showing some of them. (I'm looking at you Disney's "Onward"). Welcome back movie-goers!
