A former Waite Park brewery took to social media last week to announce it would be selling its brewing equipment, marking the true end of the business. Back Shed Brewing announced on Friday it was looking for people interested in purchasing the equipment, while also closing the door on a comeback.

No Comeback For Waite Park Brewery

Back Shed Brewing, which was located next to Crafts Direct in Waite Park, closed its doors to the public on March 1st, 2025. Since then, it had been rumored that the owners were still looking for a place to set up and restart the business.

On Friday, that rumor was put to bed as the business posted to social media it was selling its brewing equipment, meaning the dream of Back Shed reopening somewhere else isn't happening.

The post reads:

"After a long search, we were unable to find a new location for Back Shed Brewing, and we’ve made the difficult decision to sell our equipment.

We want to say thank you — to everyone who walked through our doors, raised a glass with us, and made Back Shed what it was. This community became more than just a place to grab a beer. It was a place to gather, to connect, and to build something together. We are so grateful for every one of you.
We’re going to miss our Back Shed family more than words can say.
If you or someone you know might be interested in our equipment, we’d really appreciate you sharing our listing (link below). For questions, please message us here on Facebook.
Thank you again for everything."
With Back Shed officially now saying goodbye, it leaves the St. Cloud area with just a handful of craft breweries left, including Beaver Island, Pantown, Bad Habit, and Third Street Brew House.
