It's been 31 years since the cult classic movie Mallrats was released. The film was shot extensively in Minnesota, with many of the scenes filmed at the Eden Prairie Center. One of the actors from the film was recently in Minnesota and decided to stop by the mall to share some thoughts about a scene, and I don't think anyone noticed him.

'Silent Bob' Stops By Eden Prairie Center 31 Years Later

Kevin Smith, who might be best known for his role as Silent Bob from the film Mallrats, as well as the spin-off movie series known as Jay and Silent Bob, was recently in Minnesota and shared on social media a video of him visiting the mall where most of Mallrats was filmed.

The video shows Kevin Smith walking outside the Kohl's store, walking back to the loading dock where a scene was filmed that featured his character pulling out a grappling gun from his jacket to lift himself and his friend Jay out of harm's way.

"31 years ago, in this spot, I used a grappling gun to lift Jay Mewes and I out of harm’s way, eluding Team LaFours! Happy to see Eden Prairie Center still retailing after all of these years!" - Kevin Smith

6 Photos You Won't Believe Were Taken In Minnesota

After having spent the greater part of the last three weeks outside Minnesota, it has been great to be back. We live in a very beautiful part of the country. From the North Shore's jagged cliffs to the rolling croplands of southern Minnesota and to the driftless area near Preston, our state is filled with beautiful sights. I managed to find 6 photos that were taken right here in Minnesota, but when you look at them, you'd think they were taken somewhere else completely. Let's enjoy the land of 10,000 photos, shall we?
