A former MTV star, and current television game show host, has a new Minnesota connection, which means we might be seeing him in the land of 10,000 lakes this holiday season. The real question is, has anyone told him about the 'Minnesota Goodbye' yet?

A 'New' Minnesota Connection For Former MTV Star

MTV back in the late 90s and early 2000s not only played music videos, but it was also home to several reality competition shows like Road Rules and The Real World. It didn't take long for MTV to pick up a show in the year 2000 that put a group of guys, and sometimes their friends, on the line for a laugh.

How many of us remember the show 'Jackass'?

One of the stars from that show is none other than Johnny Knoxville, host of NBC's Fear Factor: House of Fear!

Knoxville Now Has Ties To The Land Of 10,000 Lakes

I didn't realize that when Johnny Knoxville got married in 2025, he married a Minnesotan. Apparently, Knoxville and his bride, Emily Ting, were seen in Dakota County, part of the Twin Cities, recently, according to a Minnesota County Commissioner.

Joe Atkins, a County Commissioner for Dakota County, posted about Knoxville's Minnesota ties recently, highlighting that Knoxville's wife has strong ties to Northern Dakota County, where her parents still live.

According to Atkins' post, residents who had the chance to see Knoxville while he and his wife were visiting noted how "approachable and gracious" he was with those who recognized him.

Knoxville's Wife Is Just As Successful

Emily Ting, Knoxville's wife, is just as successful as her husband, but in a different way. Ting is a costume designer and has worked on several popular comedic shows like The Eric Andre Show, Bad Trip (2021), Jackass Forever (2022), and The Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie (2024).

Does anyone else wonder if we might see Knoxville take Fear Factor to the Great Minnesota Get-Together in 2027?
