It feels like it's been a year or two of goodbyes for Twin Cities news reporters and meteorologists. Another Twin Cities reporter announced they were leaving WCCO-TV today, after spending the last three years as a reporter. Here's what we know about the departure.

Ubah Ali Leaving After 3 Years At WCCO-TV

WCCO-TV reporter Ubah Ali announced on social media today that she is leaving the television station that started her career in television news. According to Ali, after interning at WCCO-TV in 2017, it was a sweet return to the Twin Cities when she came back as a reporter in 2023.

According to the social media post:

Three years ago, I came back to WCCO with a dream. Today, I’m walking away with a lifetime of stories, lessons, and gratitude!

I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most passionate and talented journalists in the business — bringing you stories that were difficult, joyful and everything in between.
Day after day, we showed up for Minnesotans because accurate information matters — and it’s crucial to a healthy democracy. I’ve learned so much and grown in ways I’ll carry with me wherever I go. Thank you for turning to us, trusting us and letting us into your lives.
My love for storytelling isn’t going anywhere. After all, it’s a passion that found me back in high school.
As for what’s next — that’ll be coming in short order!
