98.1 Minnesota’s New Country May Veteran of the Month: Combat Engineer Stan Zenk [WATCH]

Throughout the month of May, 98.1 Minnesota’s New Country will be honoring Stan Zenk of Foley for his service in the Army Reserves.  Stan, your service to our country is greatly appreciated! Stan was a Combat Engineer in the Vietnam War.

Stan was nominated by his daughter, Susan, who had this to say about him:

"He has never talked about his service ... He will drop anything he is doing to help out his three kids or his neighbors."

"He loves his six grandchildren and will play with his five-year-old granddaughter in whatever she wants to play." Susan says Stan attends his grandchildren's concerts and plays. He also volunteers his time helping out with his granddaughter's pre-school class. 

"I don't know where I'd be if not for my dad. He helps out no matter what. He does more now that he's retired than he ever has before."

Stan's service to our nation is admirable, courageous and so appreciated. Stan, thank you for being a hero to our country.
