BIRDS

This has to be one of the craziest stories I've ever heard.

I have had many friends and family that have birds fly into their windows accidentally. Sometimes it stuns the birds and after a few moments of rest they'll get up and fly off. Other times, they are not so lucky.

KEEP THOSE BIRDS FROM CRASHING INTO YOUR WINDOWS

My parents would put up stickers on the window in question so the birds would realize that it wasn't sky, or water, or whatever they thought it was.

ONE...BIG..BIRD

But this bird is just a little bit bigger than any I've ever heard of hitting a window.

Jessica Houghton wasn't home when this happened, but just listen to her story!

"It was Thanksgiving Eve and I was checking one of my home cameras and realized I hadn’t seen my cats in the cam since about 11 am.

IT'S A TURKEY!!!!

I rushed home after work to find them, and I came home to glass down my hallway. I looked up to see broken windows and a turkey lying on my bedroom floor!

I quickly shut the bedroom door because I wasn’t sure if the turkey was alive or not. I called my friend Will, who was quick to come over to check and see if the turkey was alive and help me get it out of my house. My neighbors Mike and Jill were also quick to come over and help get the window covered temporarily.

Thankfully, my cats were hiding downstairs because of the noise."

WHAT HAPPENED?

I was chatting with Jessica about the incident, and all they can think of is that the male possibly saw his reflection in the glass, and thought he would fight it; it just didn't turn out so well. Turkeys can fly at a pretty fast pace, and it seems that when the turkey hit the window, it probably broke its neck and died quickly.

It's a sad story for the turkey, but in the end, we are glad that Jessica's babies (her cats) didn't try to escape from the window.
