Vikings Rookie was Shot Monday While in Washington DC
VIKINGS ROOKIE SHOT WHILE VISITING FAMILY
Jaylen Twyman, who was picked in the 6th round of the NFL Draft by the Vikings this year, was recently visiting family in Washington DC, and was shot on Monday during his stay.
Twyman, who plays defensive tackle, was one of four men who were shot around 5 in the afternoon at the 300 Block of 50th Street NE.
ROOKIE JAYLEN TWYMAN SHOT FOUR TIMES
Twyman was riding in a vehicle when the event happened, and was shot four times. Two men were found on the scene that had been shot, and were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries, while another two individuals showed up at the hospital on their own, also being shot, and the wounds they received are also expected to be non life threatening.
STATEMENT RELEASED FROM THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS
According to an article found at fox9.com, the Minnesota Vikings released the following statement:
Minnesota Vikings Defensive Tackle Jaylen Twyman was one of several victims wounded during a shooting in Washington D.C. today. We have been in direct contact with Jaylen and his family, and we are extremely thankful Jaylen is expected to make a full recovery. At this time we will defer any further comment to the proper authorities."
