America turns 250 years old this 4th of July. The milestone celebration will offer plenty of extras as we get closer to America's birthday. Here in Central Minnesota, there are plenty of local options for you to take in a fireworks show. Here's a list of cities hosting fireworks shows in 2026. Because many smaller communities don't post their 4th of July schedules until late June, this list will likely grow over the next couple of weeks.

St. Cloud

 

  • Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026
  • Time: Approximately 10:00 p.m.
  • Location: Wilson Park
  • Notes: Organizers are promoting this as one of the largest fireworks displays in Central Minnesota and the 80th consecutive year of the event.

 

Brainerd

  • Date: July 4, 2026
  • Time: 10:15 p.m.
  • Location: Don Adamson Field

Nisswa

  • Date: July 3, 2026
  • Time: Dusk
  • Location: Nisswa Community Center area

Crosslake

  • Date: July 4, 2026
  • Time: Dusk
  • Location: Cross Lake / Sand Island
  • Notes: Fireworks synchronized with music on Skeeter 101.5 FM

These communities typically host displays, but I have not yet found an official 2026 fireworks announcement. We will update this as we get closer to the 4th of July:

If you don't plan on attending a local fireworks show, you can also watch the annual "A Capitol Fourth" concert and fireworks spectacular on the National Mall, which will air live on PBS starting at 7:00pm.
