With more and more venues going cashless it seemed it was just a matter of time that we would see local venues opt-in. Entering this season at Joe Faber Field, the St. Cloud Rox announced that they would be going cashless in 2026. Here's what to know before heading to a St. Cloud Rox game this year.

Leave You Cash At Home

The Rox have joined a growing number of teams in the Northwoods League that have adopted contactless payment systems. According to the Rox website, "the new system is designed to streamline transactions at the ticket booth, concessions and merchandise stands, reduce wait times and provide a more efficient and secure purchasing experience for fans."

Will There Be Fees When You Use Your Card?

Fans will not be charged the 3.5% transaction fee for purchases made at Joe Faber Field for concessions or merchandise on game days.

Cash Accepted In Limited Ways

For fans attending the day portion of a double-header on July 23rd, cash will be accepted, as well as for buying tickets ahead of time at the MAC.

Cash payments will still be accepted for the day game of the double-header on July 23.

If you are buying same day tickets you will need to pay using a card.

Other Things To Know Before Heading To A Rox Game

Before you enter the Rockpile on game day, here are some other things you should know.

  • Kids under 4 get in free for regular season games
  • Get there early if you are on the QXO Sports Deck, as there will be a line for food
  • Looks like rain? Blankets and umbrellas may be carried in as long as they do not interfere with the game experience for the fans in attendance.
  • Foul Balls = Food (Fans can exchange a legal foul ball (one that was being used in that day’s game with a Northwoods League logo) for a food voucher at the Fan Services table in the main lobby.)

Beautiful Photos From Clemens Gardens

This weekend was a great one to get out and do something fun. I wanted to destress, so I drove over to Clemens Gardens for a nice stroll through the gardens. What a beautiful place it is. There are flowers everywhere, as well as fountains and statues. These photos only capture part of what's available to see, but in case you haven't had a chance to visit, now is a great time to view them, as everything is in full bloom. Take a look at some beautiful photos and then make a plan to take your own trip. All of your senses will thank you.
