Airbnb is a great way to have a unique experience on a vacation. They usually are guest houses or rooms that people rent out that allow people to have all the comforts of home while miles away.

I was cruising through Airbnb listings around the St. Cloud area and stumbled on The Silo. You get to stay in a real farm silo that has been renovated into a rustic prairie retreat.

It's true...you will stay in a real silo overlooking a lake with loons and geese navigating the lily pads and horses grazing in the pasture! In the silo you will stay at the top in the space we call "The Rosepot". The Rosepot even has a small private bathroom and a kitchenette. Gaze at the stars or watch the sun rise while laying in bed with a 360 degree view. This rustic farm environment includes 600 wooded acres for you to explore nature trails, discover wetland habitats, and view free ranging cattle. Feed the horses and goats carrots and enjoy an occasional appearance by the barn cat! The best part? The "Minnesota nice" peace and quiet.

This sounds so relaxing. And it's right in our backyard in Clearlake! The listing is a comfortable stay for two adults, with one bed and one bathroom. The cost to stay in this one-of-a-kind structure is roughly $125 a night, and 95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
