If one of your goals in 2025 is to get out a little more and try a new place for lunch or dinner you might want to take a look around. You'd be surprised at how many great local places there are to enjoy a meal with friends and family. I was out this weekend with my wife and noticed that one longtime St. Cloud staple got a new menu recently, and another has closed.

Driving around on Saturday, (how nice was it to see the sun for once?) I noticed that a long-time Division Street restaurant had closed, but there was already a sign in the window indicating what was coming next.

The Chinese Phoenix Express restaurant has closed, and coming in its place seems to be a Mexican restaurant. The sign across the front window just says coming soon. Hopefully, it's not too long of a wait for those interested in trying the new business. The Chinese Phoenix Express posted it had closed on their social media page back on November 24th, indicating that the business had been sold.

New Menu At Shooters

In other restaurant news, Shooters in St. Cloud has a new menu, and from what I remember a new outdoor backlit sign, that takes its colors from the new menu.

The menu keeps many of the longtime favorites but adds some new items too.

I ended up trying the special that they had on Saturday which was a Hybrid burger that had some buffalo sauce mixed with ranch, along with other burger toppings and a side of fries that had dry rub on them.

Shooters still serves hungry patrons their famous wings, along with various nightly specials and happenings like Bingo and meat raffles. You can find Shooters at 2223 Roosevelt Rd right 'in front' of The Boot Shack.
