THE CAR SEAT TRADE-IN PROGRAM

Target's Car Seat Trade-In Event has been a huge success since 2016. Since then, over 3 million car seats have been recycled, turning into 49 million pounds of recyclable material.

The Target Car Seat Trade-In Event is happening now through May 24th, 2025. If you come in and trade in your old car seats, you will receive a 20% Target Circle Bonus towards a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, baby home gear, or a stroller. Baby gear that's available to choose from includes high chairs, swings, rockers, bouncers, walkers, entertainers, and jumpers. Figure out what you need, and then gather up all those old seats and bring them in.

HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR BONUS

There are signs near the drop-off boxes for guests to scan from their phone and then into their Target Circle account. Once you scan the code, you will receive one bonus per Target Circle account, and the bonus will stay in your Wallet until you use it twice or until it expires.

All Target stores are participating in this event, except for a few select 'format' stores.

Wondering what Target does with the trade-ins? The materials from the collected seats are recycled by Target partners to create new products like pallets, plastic buckets, carpet padding, and select 'Brightroom' items.

Crowded House at The Ledge Amphitheater, 2024

The Australian 80s/90s pop band Crowded House brought their Gravity Stairs Tour to celebrate the release of their 8th studio album by the same name to Waite Park. Lead singer Neil Finn's son, Liam opened the show with his solo work and then joined the band later. The photo gallery below captures the fun of the night.
