GORDON RAMSAY COMES TO CENTRAL MN

Gordon Ramsay has reportedly been in Big Lake, and there has been a whole lot of activity around 'Lake Cafe'. There have been production crews, trailers, and cameras around the area, and the restaurant has temporarily closed its doors.

People have started putting two and two together. It's likely that Gordon Ramsay is filming an episode of 'Kitchen Nightmares.'

Nobody is 'officially' saying that yet, though, but if he is, things could get really interesting.

If you have ever watched 'Kitchen Nightmares', you know Gordon Ramsay doesn't exactly show up at a restaurant, eat a cheeseburger and say, “Well, everything looks great. Have a nice day!” That's not really his style. He can be scary, and I'm not sure I would want a visit from one of the most popular chefs in the world, unless I knew that he could really make a positive impact in my community.

Ramsay travels around the country visiting restaurants that are struggling. He looks at everything. The food. The kitchen. The staff. The service. The management and sometimes, let's be honest, the refrigerator.

FIXING THE PROBLEMS TO MAKE THINGS BETTER

Ramsay tries to figure out what is going wrong and why the restaurant isn't making money, and then he gets to work, inevitably, fixing any problems the business might have, and turning the whole thing around.

With the help of his team, Ramsay can completely change the look of a restaurant, update the menu and make changes to the way the business operates.

The goal is pretty simple: take a restaurant that is struggling and give it a chance to turn things around. If that is what is happening in Big Lake, is Lake Café going to be changing the way they do things?

Lake Cafe isn't some brand-new restaurant that just opened last year. Lake Cafe has been a part of Big Lake for decades. The restaurant's history goes back to 1968, so we're talking about a place that has been serving people in this community for generations, and the reviews I've seen have been great.

Which makes me wonder what Gordon Ramsay is seeing, and what would he change?

Now let's be honest. Obiously, having Gordon Ramsay show up at your restaurant could be a VERY good thing! Imagine the exposure! Your hometown restaurant suddenly gets featured on national television. People all over the country learn where Big Lake, Minnesota, is. They see your food. They see your restaurant. And suddenly people who have never heard of you are saying, “Hey, let's go check out The Lake Cafe in Big Lake!”

This could be exactly what a restaurant needs to get people talking, bring customers through the door, and give the business a fresh start.

But right now, we're still trying to figure out exactly what is happening. Is this Kitchen Nightmares, or is Gordon Ramsay filming something completely different?

Rumors are that an episode of Kitchen Nightmares in Big Lake could be rolling out sometime around February, but right now...it's all rumors.
