The search is on for a stolen kitten with significant health care needs from Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud.

If you know where this kitten is and can bring it back, no questions will be asked, and TCHS will press no charges. Just please bring him back.

PLEASE BRING MARIN BACK TO TCHS

Sometimes you see an animal and fall in love; maybe that is what happened with Marin.

Someone walked into the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud, saw this tiny two-month-old kitten, and wanted him so badly that they made the terrible decision to take him without notifying staff. They were seen tucking the kitten into a bag and quickly leaving the premises.

Now we need you to love him enough to bring him back to TCHS.

WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT MARIN

Marin is adorable. He truly is. But he isn't just any adorable kitten. He is a kitten who needs you to love him enough to bring him home.

Tri-County Humane Society is asking for the public's help after Marin was stolen from the shelter Wednesday afternoon. Volunteers noticed a visitor spending time with the kitten before quickly leaving the cat room. When they went to check on Marin, he was gone.

Security video showed the visitor removing Marin from his kennel, putting him inside a bag, and walking out of the shelter with him; now everyone at TCHS is worried about what happens next.

MARIN'S CURRENT MEDICAL CONDITION

Marin had only just returned to the shelter after spending time in foster care recovering from severe, perforating ulcers on both of his eyes. His treatment has included pain medication, oral antibiotics, antibiotic eye drops, and special serum eye drops. That serum is particularly important. It was made using a blood donation from one of the dogs at TCHS.

Thankfully, Marin's health has improved tremendously, but the bad news is, he isn't finished with his treatment.

SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITION

Marin still needs specialized care, including those serum eye drops, and TCHS is concerned that whoever has him may not know how serious his medical needs are.

So... this is where our plea comes in.

If you are the person who took Marin, please bring him back. Nobody at Tri-County Humane Society is interested in shaming you. They don't want you to be afraid to come forward. They simply want Marin back where they know he can get the care he needs. In fact, TCHS says that if Marin is returned safely, they will not press charges.

PLEASE COME FORWARD - DON'T BE AFRAID

You can still make this right. Clearly, you took Marin because you fell in love with his beautiful little face. Marin is very identifiable. He has distinctive coloring, cloudy eyes from his previous medical problems, and he is microchipped with Tri-County Humane Society's information.

So please, if you have Marin, don't hesitate to bring him back. If you wanted him so badly that you had to take him, please love him enough to bring him back so he can be cured. If the eye condition comes back, this poor little kitten will be miserable.

If you fell in love with this little kitten, the best thing you can do for him now is make sure he gets the care he needs. Bring Marin home.

IF YOU DIDN'T TAKE HIM BUT KNOW WHERE HE IS...PLEASE HELP

Even if you weren't responsible for taking this kitten, but you know who did, please help get him safely back to the people who have been caring for him.

The St. Cloud Police Department is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to email Chase Undersander at chase.undersander@ci.stcloud.mn.us and reference case number 26037967.

Marin is only two months old, and he has already been through so much.
