Maid-Rite closed up shop on Roosevelt Road in St. Cloud on Halloween of 2020, but starting this week they will once again be sold in an area restaurant.

Searles on FIfth shared a post from Maid-Rite St. Cloud:

Great news Maid-Rite fans! We are teaming up with Searles on Fifth Ave downtown. Starting tomorrow May 11th, Maidrite sandwiches will be available after 9pm at Searles for your downtown late night snack needs.

In addition to the late-night menu at Searles, Maid-Rite also supplies sandwiches to the frozen section of Coborns and Cash Wise grocery stores, and they have been doing pop-ups around the area. Maid-Rite also plans to continue their 32-year tradition of serving up their iconic sandwiches at the Benton County Fair.

St. Cloud Maid-Rite has been a staple restaurant in the area for eight decades:

CEO and Owner Terry Anderson says COVID-19 restrictions and a change in building ownership are the primary reasons, the Benton County Fair being canceled in August also contributed to the problem.

Their loose meat sandwiches have been satisfying the cravings of Central Minnesotans for years, and I'm excited that they will continue to do so at Seales on Fifth in downtown St. Cloud. I think this is a great addition to the culinary scene there, and it's extra fun that it is part of the late-night menu.
