Remember the little kitten from the Tri-County Humane Society who made quite a name for himself after being taken from his kitty kennel at the shelter last week?

There's now even more good news to celebrate! Our kitten has found its forever home.

MARIN IS NOW 'MARVIN!'

Marin, the kitten that stole all of our hearts last week after being taken and then miraculously being returned by the person who took him, now has his forever family and a new name.

The Tri-County Humane Society announced that the kitten known as Marin was officially adopted on Friday and has been renamed Marvin.

Marvin’s new human actually knew his foster mom, Dani. The two are former co-workers, and the new owner had been following Marvin’s adventures and progress through Dani’s social media posts.

Apparently, watching this little fella's dramatic journey touched her heart.

She decided she had to add Marvin to her family.

WE ARE FAMILY

Marvin now has two feline siblings waiting for him at home. As I write this story, the three housemates haven't met face-to-face yet, but the introduction process has already begun with scent swapping, one way cats can get used to each other before sharing the same space.

And while Marvin's original foster mom Dani, had considered adopting Marvin herself, there was one small problem. Her other animals apparently voted no.

So instead of becoming Marvin’s forever mom, Dani gets to watch him grow up from a little farther away and receive plenty of updates from his new family.

After everything this kitten has been through, it sounds like Marvin is settling into his new life just fine.

According to staff at TCHS, he has been doing what kittens do best after a big adventure: sleeping...a lot.

HAPPY REACTIONS TO MARVIN'S NEW HOME AND SAFE RETURN

The announcement of Marvin having made it through all these early trials and tribulations brought an outpouring of happy reactions from people who had been following his story. Comments included everything from people calling him adorable and precious to others celebrating what they described as a 'beautiful happy ending'.

One person believes that Marvin deserves his own Facebook page. They might not be wrong! We ALL fell in love with Marvin, and I'm guessing as long as we can see that adorable little face, we will continue to look for him on our social media.

Another commenter called his journey a story of “safety, love and true happiness,” while someone else joked that Marvin survived his “catnapping.” After all, we know that he was catnapped because he was too adorable to resist!

After all the attention this little guy received, it is easy to understand why people became invested in his story.

Marvin's journey started with an unexpected and frightening disappearance. He was eventually returned safely to the Tri-County Humane Society, reunited with his foster mom, and has now been placed with his forever family.

A new name...two new feline siblings...and a loving human.

Judging by that picture of Marvin sleeping peacefully, it looks like he is pretty happy with how his story turned out. Welcome home, Marvin.
