EATING CAKE FOR A CAUSE

Do you love cake? I don't know if there's anything I enjoy more than a homemade cake, and this month there's a very special reason to eat cake at Jule's Bistro in downtown St. Cloud. Every piece of Kindness Cake purchased will help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota.

THE KINDNESS CAKE

This month's Kindness Cake features dark chocolate cake layers that are filled with blackberry swirled marshmallow fluff, covered in chocolate buttercream, and then it's flooded with dark chocolate hazelnut ganache. Finally, they top this delightful cake with housemade blackberry marshmallows. (I didn't know you could make marshmallows from scratch!) That's not all. Just for fun, they finish this cake off with plant-based supernatural green sprinkles.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS

A piece of Kindness Cake is $20. $13.50 of that goes to the charity Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota, and if you are feeling extra generous, and want to buy a full cake, it is $136. It makes a great treat for the office or your family. If you would like to purchase a whole cake, you can call and place an order for one by dialing 320.252.7125 and pressing 3 for catering. Approximately $86 for a whole cake purchase will go to the charity.

ABOUT BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS

As a Big with BBBS, I've seen my little come out of her shell. She was very shy in the beginning, but now she's having a great time. She appears confident, loves talking with me, and we both love doing a lot of the same things. She loves animals, drawing, and baking, and we've even gone fishing together.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Every person who is willing to make a difference in someone's life can. Just be a listening ear, be a kind hand, teach your little ones something new, and you'll find that they will probably change your life more than you're changing theirs. Contact Bigdefenders.org to learn more.
