Delta Now Charging $30 for FIRST Checked Bag at MSP

Delta Airlines will now charge you $30 for your first checked bag. Got another? That one will cost you another $40. Come fly with us (but don't bring anything).

To be fair, they're not the only airline following this trend. For me, I'd rather pay $30 more for my ticket, with one free bag. Same thing? You bet it is. But does it feel better? It does to me.

I'll be the guy in seat 14B with his noise cancelling headphones and his belongings in a small bag being stuffed into the overhead bin. (And can I get some peanuts and a Bloody Mary?)
