Over the weekend my boyfriend Cory and I went down to Minneapolis for a concert. On the way down we stopped for an early dinner at Brick & Bourbon in Maple Grove. We have heard that a branch for the franchise was going into the old Brother's location in Downtown St. Cloud, and we were getting antsy to try it.

We got there a little after 4 pm on Saturday, and it was already filling up. Once we saw the menu we understood why. Trying to choose what to eat was like choosing which of your kids you like best. All of the options sounded so good, and super unique.

We started our meal with a couple tap ciders. I had a cherry flavored one, and Cory opted for a mixed berry cider. I was worried the cherry would be too "cough syrup" flavored from the smell, but the taste was incredible.

As an appetizer we ordered a "bacon flight" which was basically a plate with four different types of candied bacon. Could I make that at home? Yes. Do I want to make my kitchen a sticky mess from doing that? Absolutely not. Bacon flight for the win!

For my dinner I went with the Chicken and Waffle Sliders. Fried chicken and fresh berries between two crispy waffles with syrup for dipping. Cory had "The Next Day" burger that was topped with eggs and hash browns. That thing was massive and literally dripping in flavor.

Overall the food was great! Was it a little more pricey to eat there? A little, but you're getting what you pay for. I think it is going to be a nice new option to have in St. Cloud when it ever opens. It was scheduled to open back in August of 2018, the website still says "Coming Soon". Here's to hoping soon is sooner than we think!
