Well that was a fun four months.

Bite Squad announced this week that they are ending delivery services for St. Cloud on December 5th 2019. The service first launched in the area shortly after the Benton County Fair in early August, where they were heavily promoting it.

Bite Squad will also be ending service in Duluth and Rochester where they have seen similar results in orders and deliveries. These three towns were a part of a list of 38 smaller markets across America that are seeing Bite Squad's service make its exit. It will be sticking around in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Roseville. The announcement did include the sentiment:

We are grateful for the restaurants, customers and drivers that supported us.

As an avid fan of dining in, I find myself often ordering from food delivery services. My most common used ones are Door Dash and Food Dudes, mainly just for the restaurant selections. It also has a lot to do with where your home is located. The many different delivery services in the area all work with different, specific restaurants and it takes some searching across apps to find your favorites. It is far from a perfect system, and with so many options in a smaller area, I get how it can be hard to compete. Thanks for the food while you were here, Bite Squad!
