Winter isn't over by a long shot, but it was an exceptionally wonderful weekend weather wise in the St. Cloud area. The fresh air felt amazing, snow started to melt, and signs of spring were showing up left and right. Here are five that I noticed myself.

1. Neighborhood Kids Got Their Bikes Out

The kids in my neighborhood were really taking advantage of the sunshine and warmth. And the cleared sidewalks that came with it. A whole group of them had their bicycles out for a ride. Sure they were bundled up, but it is a sign of more bike rides to come.

2. Summer Stuff Started Going On Sale

I went on a Sam's Club run Saturday morning and noticed that some Spring/Summer seasonal items have made their way to the start of the store. Kayaks, water toys, camping supplies, and definitely room for patio furniture to be displayed. Bring on summer!

3. Birkenstocks

When I was out running errands I also saw a total of three girls wearing Birkenstock sandals. Once the Birks come out, it's all business.

4. Garage Doors and Grills

Our whole neighborhood smelled like delicious grilled food today. The garage doors were open, the grills were out, and everyone was getting their first literal taste of spring.

5. A Woolly Bear Caterpillar in the Yard

As I was taking the dogs outside to get some fresh air, I saw something moving by my feet. It was a Woolly Bear Caterpillar waking up from a long winter's nap. Yep. It was warm enough this weekend to thaw insects. Bring on spring!
