Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for portions of Central Minnesota including Benton, Mille Lacs, and Morrison counties through Noon today.

Expect slow travel and slick roads this morning. We could see still 2 to 3 inches of snow between now and Noon. Plan on extra travel time.

Winds are expected to be out of the east at 5-10 mph while snow is falling, shifting northerly this afternoonoon as the system departs. Blowing snow is not a significant concern.

From the National Weather Service this morning: Snow will continue to develop across the area this morning, spreading south and east over time. The snow will end in most locations by mid to late morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for locations generally along and north/east of a line from Long Prairie through Saint Cloud to Red Wing and Eau Claire. Snowfall totals from around 1 to 4 inches are expected.
