The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect through 6 PM this evening for portions of central Minnesota -- including Benton, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Sherburne, and Stearns Counties.

A Blizzard Warning is in effect for western Minnesota.

Snow, blowing snow, and possible near-blizzard conditions at times will be possible today, as well as the potential for flash freezing on roadways and surfaces as temperatures plummet this afternoon behind an Arctic front.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
