Winter Weather Advisory + Blizzard Warning
A Blizzard Warning covers a large portion of western and southern Minnesota, including Douglas, Stevens, and Pope counties.
Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree
branches. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
From the National Weather Service this morning: The Blizzard Warning has been expanded eastward across most of south central Minnesota. Whiteout conditions due to blowing snow are expected with very difficult or impossible travel possible late tonight and Thursday morning. Plan accordingly!
