The National Weather Service has expanded their Winter Weather Advisory to include Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Morrison, and Mille Lacs Counties through 7 AM Thursday morning.

According to the NWS:

There have been several reports of accumulating snow and spin-outs on roadways over parts of central Minnesota early this evening. Surface observations indicate the rain has turned to snow, with all snow now expected in these areas for the rest of the night. At least a few inches are expected overnight, but there could be a few reports over 5 inches.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
