In addition to the snow, strong northwest winds with gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected today and this evening. The strong winds will cause areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility for several hours after the snow has ended.

From the National Weather Service this morning: A frigid and remarkably persistent Arctic airmass invades the region today through next week. Wind chill values could stay below -10 degrees all the way through next week for some locations. The coldest air is expected Saturday night through Tuesday, when min wind chill values drop below -30 degrees.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can

be obtained by calling 511. Road conditions can also be found at 511mn.org.
