The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of Central Minnesota in effect through Noon today.

Light freezing rain along with wet snow expected, with a total ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch expected. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

The Winter Weather Advisory includes Douglas, Todd, Morrison, Mille Lacs, Kanabec, Benton, and Stearns counties.

A wintry mix of precipitation will develop in southwestern
Minnesota and spread northeastward through Tuesday morning. As this precipitation moves northeast, itwill come mainly as a mix of freezing rain and wet snow forportions of central Minnesota.
