The Minnesota Vikings have traded quarterback Matt Cassel to the Buffalo Bills, in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick. Cassel has played 10 seasons in the NFL, and arrived in Minnesota in 2013. He was the starter at the beginning of last season before injuring his foot.

The trade cannot become official until the NFL 2015 formally begins on March 10th. It's also expected that Christian Ponder will become a free agent next week. That would leave Pat Devlin as the only quarterback on the roster behind Teddy Bridgewater.
