Verndale, MN Restaurant Offering ‘Outdoor’ Dining in Fish Houses
Necessity is the mother of innovation, and this restaurant in Verndale, Minnesota has taken innovation to the next level.
The Pirates Den in Verndale is a bar and grill that found a loophole to outdoor dining before Governor Walz even made his announcement that outdoor dining could happen at 50% capacity.
The Pirates Den has been offering dining and full bar service to heated ice fishing houses. They partnered with The Black Hole Ice Shack to have two brand new ice houses be "outdoor" tables for people to enjoy their food and drinks.
HEATED fish houses from Black Hole Ice Shack are up & ready for YOU! Friday & Saturday reservations are still available. We have opened up the day time hours also now. Reservations are now available from 11-9.
The Pirates Den posted their outdoor dining idea on December 8th and have been offering the service via reservations on the weekends. The ice houses seat 4-6 people so there is room for your family to enjoy a meal together.
The first weekend they offered it they even had a fishing themed meal special. You gotta admire the creativity of the people in charge. The bar and restaurant industry has been hit incredibly hard this year, and there are people like the ones at The Pirates Den who are trying to generate business, but also give their customers the memorable experience and great service they deserve.
If you want to head up to Verndale for this experience yourself, you can check out more details on The Pirates Den Facebook page.
