The votes are in and Jorge Polanco has earned the top spot among short stops in the American League to earn the start in the July 9th MLB All Star game in Cleveland.

So far this season, Polanco has batted .321 with 50 runs, 39 RBI, and 11 home runs. This will be his first time as an MLB All Star.

Other Twins players could still make the American League All Star roster when the reserve selections are named Sunday. C.J. Cron, Jake Ororizzi, Nelson Cruz, Eddie Rosario, and Jose Berrios could all make a case for the place on the team.
