With the discovery of human remains and a 1960's vehicle in the Mississippi River this week one of these stories of missing Central Minnesotans may have an ending, but there are still many Minnesotans that have gone missing over the years with no ending to those stories. Before we can truly say that a 1967 missing person's case has been solved, lets look at two Central Minnesotans who haven't been seen in 39 years.

Cynthia & Ronnie Missing For 39 Years

It was August 6th, 1986. That was the last time anyone had contact with either Cynthia Schmidt or Ronnie Bromenschenkel. That day, the St. Cloud area had just under one and a half inches of rainfall, on an otherwise comfortable August day.

According to the Tri-County Crimestoppers page, both were last seen in the Riverview Trailer Court in St. Cloud. The website, when listing this missing persons case, shared that:

"Prior to their disappearance, both were involved in a money laundering scheme which may have been a factor in their disappearance. Investigators believe foul play is suspected."

With limited information about the two online, there are still most likely family members that would like closure in this case.

Roy Benn Left Breakfast And Wasn't Seen Again

Roy Benn, who was an area business man, was last seen leaving breakfast at the Kings Inn Supper Club off Highway 10 on Sunday September 25th, 1967. Benn left in his 1963 Buick Electra.

Benn, who had owned at the time an apartment building and St. Cloud Gas and Appliance Service, wasa widower. Since leaving the Kings Inn Supper Club, Benn wasn't seen again.

Car Found In The Mississippi Could Be Benn's

With news that a car was found in 20 feet of water in the Mississippi River, that looked to be from the 1960's there is thought that the missing persons case involving Roy Benn may have reached it's conclusion. While it's not the news many would want to hear, it would be closure for the family of Benn.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of any of these three missing Central Minnesotans you should reach out to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
