Big Bloody Marys are a thing that doesn't seem to be going away. Locally, you can find Bloody Marys of all types and sizes, and Boulder Tap House even rotates a monthly Bloody. With the calendar turning over to April, one Minnesota bar/restaurant is already unveiling its GIANT April Bloody special. This Bloody includes a big slice of pizza, a meatball sub, and charcuterie.

Northern Tap House in Plymouth burst onto the scene last year with their GIANT bloody that appeared to be about as big as the woman holding it, and they've run with it ever since.

Remember this?

Well, the same folks behind that Bloody have turned their attention to a destination across the ocean. Italy was the inspiration for April's Italian Stallion Bloody at the Northern Tap House in Plymouth. Check this thing out!

While it doesn't seem to be the same size as December's, it makes up for it with all of the 'accompaniments'. Here's what is coming with the bloody:

  • Mini Meatball Sub
  • Slice of Pepperoni Pizza
  • A Charcuterie Stick
  • Fried Ravioli
  • Mozzarella Sticks

Plus, you get an 8-oz beer back and a cup of marinara.

Locally, you can grab a Bloody from just about any establishment; each place seems to make theirs a little bit differently, so it may take you a few places to find 'your' bloody, but when you do, it's tough to pass one up.

Yelp.com gives you some options for top-rated Bloody Marys; there are some familiar names on that list, with one surprise, at least to me.
