What Adam Thielen's Departure Means For Vikings And Fans

A Vikings fan favorite, who returned to the team just this year, is being granted a chance to win elsewhere this season. Adam Thielen, wide receiver, took to social media to thank Minnesota Vikings fans for the memories this year, as he has been granted the chance to join another NFL team that has a shot at winning a championship this year. It's another blow for Vikings fans in a year that hasn't had much positivity.

Adam Thielen shared a note to his fans this morning after he had been given the chance to go to a team that can 'compete' this year.

The note from Thielen online reads:

This is tremendously difficult for me to write and certainly not how any of us imagined this to go.

As a Minnesota native, putting on this uniform over the years and representing this community both on and off the field has always meant that much more to me. This team is in my bones, it's in my heart, and it's part of my DNA. I will ALWAYS be a Minnesota Viking.

Since this past Spring, I knew this was going to be my last season playing in the National Football League. Given that, the Vikings allowed me the opportunity to go compete elsewhere for the last few weeks of my career.

Minnesota will always be our home, and we are incredibly grateful to the Wilf family, Kwesi, KO, Rob, and everyone in the Vikings organization for bringing us back in August. This organization means the world to us from the top down, and this locker room is filled with true professionals.

With gratitude and love and I'll be back to retire.

Vikings Traded For Thielen, Moved Down In Draft To Get Him

In order to bring in Thielen, which was meant more as an additional weapon for QB JJ McCarthy with Jordan Addison being suspended for the first 3 games of the year, the Vikings gave up a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 fourth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers.

The Vikings waived Thielen on December 1st, allowing him the chance at getting picked up by another team, presumably one that has a chance at a Super Bowl trophy.

6 Photos You Won't Believe Were Taken In Minnesota

After having spent the greater part of the last three weeks outside Minnesota, it has been great to be back. We live in a very beautiful part of the country. From the North Shore's jagged cliffs to the rolling croplands of southern Minnesota and to the driftless area near Preston, our state is filled with beautiful sights. I managed to find 6 photos that were taken right here in Minnesota, but when you look at them, you'd think they were taken somewhere else completely. Let's enjoy the land of 10,000 photos, shall we?

Beautiful Photos From Clemens Gardens

This weekend was a great one to get out and do something fun. I wanted to destress, so I drove over to Clemens Gardens for a nice stroll through the gardens. What a beautiful place it is. There are flowers everywhere, as well as fountains and statues. These photos only capture part of what's available to see, but in case you haven't had a chance to visit, now is a great time to view them, as everything is in full bloom. Take a look at some beautiful photos and then make a plan to take your own trip. All of your senses will thank you.
