It's back to the deep freeze for Central Minnesota this week, following Sunday's shot of snow. In fact, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning for the western half of Minnesota including Stearns County from 3 AM Monday morning through 9 AM Tuesday morning.
With wind chills expected to approach -45º in St. Cloud this weekend, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning in effect from 11 PM tonight through Noon on Saturday.
Fresh snow across the area will be followed by a blast of Arctic air today and tomorrow, bringing the coldest temperatures to the area in three years along with dangerous wind chills -- prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Wind Chill Warning for much of Minnesota.
Tomorrow could be one of the coldest; if not the coldest day of the winter. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning for tonight and tomorrow for wind chills in the -35˚ to -45˚ range. The low temperature in St. Cloud is expected to drop to -14˚ overnight tonight, and Sunday's high is forecast to only reach -3˚.
