Mall of America in Bloomington announced they'll be reopening Nickelodeon Universe on August 10, 2020.

In a Monday press release, the mall outlined their plans to reopen the theme park. 'After remaining closed for nearly five months due to COVID-19, the seven-acre theme park located inside Mall of America will reopen with significant chances to maintain a safe, healthy and comfortable environment for those who visit."

In an effort to keep guests healthy and safe the mall will be limited the capacity to 250 people inside the theme park and guests will only be allowed through a single entry point.

You'll be asked to use hand sanitizer before accessing Nickelodeon Universe. Face masks will be required for everyone ages 3 and older unless a medical condition prevents it. You will be allowed to take off your masks when you're eating or drinking.

The press release mentioned that some attractions won't be open due to reduced capacity and limited staffing. All open attractions are listed on the mall's website.

EVP of Business Development and marketing at MOA, Jill Renslow said, "Reopening Nickelodeon Universe--even with significantly reduced capacity--is a positive step forward."

There will also be two-hour tickets available to buy with unlimited access to rides and attractions during that time frame. Two-hour tickets will cost $19.99 plus tax for those who wish to go on rides. A fee of $4.99 plus tax will be charged to non-riders. These special tickets are only available on-site.

The theme park is available for group buyouts of up to 250 people for up to 3 hours. Details can be found on the mall's website. Normal operating hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
