Minnesota Veterans Invited To Be A Part Of Fishing Events
When you stop and think about all the freedoms we have in this country, it really is unbelievable. Our country isn’t perfect, but even when there’s discord, that is freedom working as it should. We don’t have to agree with each other for the model to be working correctly, just look around the world at some other countries to see what I’m talking about.

We, as a society, take for granted those freedoms and those who served to protect our way of life. Our veterans deserve more than we give and hopefully one day we can find a continual way of saying Thank You!
If you are a veteran, there’s a program that is designed for you to show appreciation and to help you out as well. It’s called Fishing With Vets.
This program is a non-profit organization that is designed to pair active and former military members with an outstanding fishing guide from the mid-west.
This is a great opportunity to learn from someone who knows the waters and the fish of the area. Fishing With Vets says their goal is to create life-long memories and friendships for veterans.
There are four events coming up over the next several weeks in Minnesota:
The first will be held on May 9th at Whispering Winds Resort at Lake Vermillion in Cook Minnesota. You can register until April 29th at noon for this event.
There will also be another event at Whispering Winds Resort on May 13th and the registration runs until April 29th at noon as well.
There is a family weekend event coming on at Kohl’s Resort in Bemidji on Turtle Lake on May 30th and June 1st. The applications will open on April 25th and will close on May 12th at Noon.
There’s an event coming on June 13th through June 15th at West Wind Resort in Waskish. You apply for this one starting on May 17th and the applications will be accepted through May 26th at noon.
If you or someone you know is a veteran, this is an awesome opportunity to learn more about fishing and make new friends in the process.
Happy casting and smooth waters to you all. Thank You for your service.
