Who owns the #1 song in America this week? How 'bout the #1 country album? This week's answers plus a few other number ones in the news...

#1 Country Song: Sam Hunt- Leave The Night On
A new song tops the charts this week- this time by a country newcomer who used to be a college football quarterback. The play-on-words song released in mid-June, and written by Sam Hunt himself along with Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally, has sold more than 722,000 copies so far! Last week, Winstock Country Music Festival announced his performance in Winstead for 2015. Jason Aldean's Burnin' It Down remains #1 on the Hot Country Songs Chart for 15 straight weeks, calculating airplay along with digital sales and online streaming! The song can be found on the new album Old Boots, New Dirt, which sat atop the country albums chart last week. Jason has just announced a joint headlining concert in The Cities on July 18th at Target Field.

#1 Country Album: Florida Georgia Line- Anything Goes
This is the second week at the top of the mountain for Tyler & Brian's second full-length album and it sold over 197,000 copies in it's first week! Not only is it the top country album in the nation but this 12-track effort (3 bonus tracks in the Target deluxe version) is at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart! Florida Georgia Line is scheduled to headline Moondance Jammin' Country Fest up in Walker July 19-20 2015.

#1 Movie in America: Nightcrawler
Looks like I wasn't the only one who took notice last week when Jake Gyllenhaal hit theatres with his bugged out eyes & creepy persona in the TV news thriller, barely topping the ominous board-game-inspired movie Ouija for the top spot. Rated an impressive 8.4 out of a possible 10 by IMDb and getting a 94% certified fresh rating by Rotten Tomatoes, this dark comedy exploring morals vs. determination is stylish and addictive- and might setup a sequel?

#1 Craft Beer: Heady Topper by The Alchemist
According to Beeradvocate.com, the top craft beer in the nation hails from Vermont. It's a Double (or Imperial) IPA that sits at 8% alcohol by volume. Alchemist Beer's Heady Topper is a John Kimmich creation from his private brewery combining six different kinds of hops and served in artistic cans. If you like a hoppy beer- this is the one for you, but get creative with how you order it...as it's only available in stores in Vermont.

#1 TV Show: 2014 World Series Game #7 on FOX
Accoring to zap2it.com and much to my liking, over 23.5 million people tuned in to see the San Francisco Giants win the Fall Classic against the Kansas City Royals. Closely in 2nd place yet again was NBC's Sunday Night Football. CBS's 60 Minutes with guest Blake Shelton, NCIS, and sitcom The Big Bang Theory rounded out the top five.
