Happy MN Bus Driver Appreciation Day

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed today 'Bus Driver Appreciation Day' in the state of Minnesota!

Bus drivers have a very tough job getting kids to and from school every day. And, often their efforts are thankless. I've often said that there's no way I'd have enough patients to deal with 30 plus rowdy kids every day...especially so early in the morning.

Locally, bus drivers are in charge of driving more than 10,000 kids to school every day. It's a pretty huge undertaking. So, St. Cloud school bus drivers are getting a very special waffle breakfast this morning as a small token of the community's appreciation.

You're encouraged to give your bus driver a nice note or a card when you board the bus this morning! We want to give bus drivers a big THANK YOU from all of us here at 98.1!
