Former FSN Reporter Unveils Plans To Write A Baseball Book
Former Fox Sports North, now known as Fan Duel Sports North, host Robby Incmikoski, who left the station for a job in Pittsburgh, is now adding the title of writer/author to his resume. Incmikoski announced that in the year since he was let go by the NESN network, he will be releasing a baseball coffee table book about his adventures across Major League Baseball.
In a post to social media Friday afternoon, Robby announced his intentions to start working on a coffee table book about his 16 years in the industry. If it's anything like his fun and memorable interviews on camera, the book will be well worth it when it's finished.
The post reads in part:
Thank you all for the nice comments over the last day. They are much appreciated, and it's very nice to hear from many of you, but I must be honest with all of you....this is the funniest thing to happen to me on social media.
This post was made on December 26th, 2023, which was a year (and a day) ago, after the boss at NESN, who now runs SportsNet Pittsburgh, ran me from the Pirates job that I loved for 11 seasons. The Pirates treated me with nothing but the utmost class and professionalism for my entire time there and I still love that organization. I hope they make a run in 2025 to the playoffs and beyond!
The 2024 season for me was an interesting one, as I spent part of it with the Texas Rangers, who were the defending World Series Champs. Cool experience and a cool place for baseball!
All that said, I am in the process of writing a coffee table photo book from my travels across all 30 MLB Ballparks over the past 16 seasons. More will be posted on this at the proper time, but if you're an avid-to-die-hard baseball fan, I think you'd love this book we're producing. Details will come your way in the next few months.
Much love, great health and cheers to a happy 2025 to all of you!!
The announcement came after a post he shared back in 2023 that was getting reaction again a year later. Even a year later you can tell that news of losing his job still stings Robby.
While the initial details on the aforementioned book are light, it is cool to know that after being let go from his dream job in Pittsburgh, Robby is still out there grinding away on TV and still is involved in the game he is so passionate about.
Here's a game from 2017 where Robby had the chance to talk with a Pirates player on what other sports they played early on in life besides baseball.
I'm wishing Robby success on his future book, and maybe just maybe we will see him back at Target Field this year albeit with the visiting broadcast team at some point.
