The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of Central Minnesota for Saturday afternoon through Sunday night. The possibility of heavy rainfall Saturday, along with recent heavy rains, will lead to an increased flooding threat in the watch area tomorrow and tomorrow night.

In Central Minnesota, the Flash Flood Watch includes Benton, Chicago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Morrison Counties.

Scattered strong to severe storms are possible during the afternoon and evening Saturday as the front pushes east. Damaging wind is the primary concern, but large hail and a few tornadoes are also possible.
