In Central Minnesota, the Flash Flood Watch includes Benton, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Pope, Sherburne, Stearns, Wright counties -- as well as the entire Twin Cities metro area.
Localized rainfall totals greater than 3 inches are possible in and near the Flash Flood Watch area, leading to the possibility of flash flooding. Flash flooding of creeks, streams, urban areas, and low lying areas is possible.
Monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
Be weather aware and have a way to receive warnings.
