Fare For All Food Program Closing Metro Locations
This news is somewhat upsetting, knowing that a great program is being discontinued in some locations.
For years, Fare For All has helped families across Minnesota stretch their grocery dollars while still putting healthy food on the table. It’s been especially important for people who are feeling the pressure of rising food prices, and honestly, that’s a lot of us right now.
FARE FOR ALL IS CLOSING LOCATIONS IN THE TWIN CITIES
Earlier this week, I was just sharing with you a fantastic food program that is helping families save money on groceries throughout Minnesota.
This week, The Food Group announced it will be closing its metro-area Fare For All sites after February 2026.

TWIN CITIES MOBILE METRO MARKET
The Fare For All program will focus on serving rural communities, but will continue to operate and invest in its Twin Cities Mobile Market for people living in the metro area.
I know this will be disappointing for many families who have depended on Fare For All over the years. The Food Group says this decision wasn’t made lightly.

RURAL AREAS WILL STILL BE RECEIVING SUPPORT FROM FARE FOR ALL
With food costs still high, they’re shifting their resources toward communities that don’t have easy access to grocery stores, especially in rural Minnesota, where options can be limited or far away.
THE MISSION REMAINS THE SAME
Even with these changes, their mission hasn’t changed. Food For ALL says they remain committed to making sure people can access food when they need it, including supporting immigrant communities and working to ensure fear is never a barrier to getting help.
