Curling Championships Back in Minnesota This Week
When it comes to sports, Minnesota is no doubt a football and hockey state. The passion for those two sports runs deep.

With the winter seasons being long lasting here, hockey isn’t the only sport that attracts people during the winter months. Cross Country Skiing has a following, as does curling.
It’s been a little more than 20 years since I was first introduced to curling. In my native state of North Carolina, curling wasn't really a thing.
I remember the conversations we were all having about the sport was that it seemed to be a sport that if I learned to understand it, I might could be a participant? Probably not, but the stories we tell ourselves, am I right?
Since I moved to Minnesota a year and a half ago, I honestly thought I would have learned more about it, but life has gotten in the way of that, I guess.
If you know a lot about it and enjoy watching it, or you’d like to learn more about it, this week could be just the time to do so.
The Men’s and Women’s National Curling Championships will be held in Minnesota for the first time since 2008. All this week through Sunday in Duluth, teams will be competing to represent the United States at the World Championships.
The Men’s World Championships will be held in Canada and the women’s competition will be held in Korea.
This is a ticketed event that is being held at the Duluth Area Convention Center Arena.
