Warm weather and lots of sunshine over the weekend caused an ice damn in the Sauk River to break open, and created a flash flood at Anton's restaurant in Waite Park. There was a flash flood around 7:30 pm on Saturday night. The river flooded the parking lot and every room inside the establishment.

The water started receding within a couple hours, but it has definitely left it's mark on the building. Early Monday morning, Anton's posted on their Facebook saying:

A few photos from yesterday’s clean up. Today the big equipment will come in. We are truly overwhelmed and humbled by the love and support we’ve received from our community, neighbors and friends across MN and our Anton’s family. We appreciate you!

This isn't Anton's first rodeo when it comes to flooding. They experienced them in 1997, 2001, and most recently in 2009. Crews are working hard to get the restaurant cleaned up and opened again.

Here are the update pictures from Monday they shared on Facebook.
