WHAT HAVE I DONE

Would you give free reign to your kids to paint a particular room in your house? Any color they want? I'm talking about start to finish. Would you let them figure out what types of brushes and rollers they need for painting the walls? Would you give them tips? Like, don't forget to get a drop cloth? Don't step in paint or you'll track it all over the house and it will never come out? Don't forget to tape of the ceiling and windows?

SOMETIMES YOU JUST ROLL WITH IT

Well...I'm letting my kid do it. Of course, my kid is 27. He's painted some in the past; but he's never been in charge of the painting project. He's already hired his baby brother to help him on the project.

Am I worried? Well...it's not like they are painting the living room. I have a small music studio in my home, and I'm letting him have complete creative lead on what to do with that room. He is also a songwriter, guitarist, drummer...and I figure...if what he paints this room inspires him to be the best that he can be, then let him paint his little heart out.

TRUST

I saw that he has already picked out the paints. So I'm not sure I'm seeing the colors correctly..but the splotches looked like yellow, dark red, and a light purple. What in the world? I don't know what he has on his mind...but I'm sure it's going to be inspiring. What is the worst thing that can happen?  Please don't paint the wood work on the windows...Please don't track paint all over the house. Please take it slow.
